Leaving care
If you are a young person leaving care you should make sure you are as prepared as possible for living independently. Your personal advisor or social worker should be able to give a lot of advice and help around finding accommodation and planning for the future.
If you do find yourself homeless you should contact Walsall Council's Homeless and Housing Advice Service. Care leavers are classed as in priority need under homelessness legislation and this means that councils have a duty to provide housing or support to care leavers.
