Welcome to the Homeless Black Country website and online directory of services. If you are homeless and need advice, go to the pages for Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall or Wolverhampton to find out who can help you locally.
Tell us how Homeless Black Country is useful to you. We would love to hear how you use the site - for making referrals, finding advice agencies and accommodation or maybe networking with other local organisations. Please give your feedback here.

Leaving care

If you are a young person leaving care you should make sure you are as prepared as possible for living independently. Your personal advisor or social worker should be able to give a lot of advice and help around finding accommodation and planning for the future.

If you do find yourself homeless you should contact Walsall Council's Homeless and Housing Advice Service. Care leavers are classed as in priority need under homelessness legislation and this means that councils have a duty to provide housing or support to care leavers.

Getting help

  • Walsall Council's Transition and Leaving Care Team provides advice and support to young people leaving the care of Walsall Council.
